Thanks Eli! I am able to install it now but when I try to open the program I get an error message that reads “The application Mimi has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.”

I think I know what the problem is. An uninstall and reinstall works, but that’s not really a fix. I’ll get a real fix in the next update.

Thank you again for your app, but there’s something I don’t understand: Why would displaying picts in a preview gallery be more efficient (concerning the memory) than displaying them under the pict you’re viewing, like in the older version?
In addition, it adds one touch before being able to see the full size image (less productiv) and you can’t choose to escape, let’s say, to gore. (A situation that happens a lot on some boards iykwim…)

The way images are currently displayed is much more efficient than the old gallery. Between my optimizations and the bugs in the old thumbnail strip, there have been a huge reduction in out of memory crashes.

Swiping between images is currently done with a view pager. It only loads the image directly to the left and right of the current image. As you swipe, it loads another image but you don’t notice because it’s not currently on the screen. By doing that, it can load a huge list of images without crashing.

The old method used Google’s gallery widget. It’s buggy, crashes, and was ultimately deprecated. I’m looking for a suitable replacement, but for now I have to leave things the way they are.

It’s easy enough to add an escape button. I’ll put a back arrow in the gallery. Pressing it will close the current window and return you to the thread/board you were browsing.
